MENTOR TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Who We Are
Welcome to TalkingJet! By registering as a Mentor, offering sessions, submitting your qualifications, or using our tools (calendar, video calls, messaging, etc.), you agree to follow these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not participate as a Mentor on our platform. TalkingJet is a digital platform that connects users with mentors for personal support, growth, and understanding. We do not provide or supervise professional therapy, psychological, legal, or medical care.

2. Who Can Become a Mentor
To be a mentor on TalkingJet, you must: • Be at least 18 years old; • Provide accurate and honest information about your identity and experience; • Agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to review, suspend, or remove Mentor accounts that breach these conditions or harm the platform or its users.

3. Mentor Roles and Progression
• Mentor Anyone with life experience, empathy, and a desire to support others. No certifications are required. What you gain: A chance to make a real difference through conversation and personal growth. • Advanced Mentor Mentors who have reached specific milestones (hours completed, high feedback ratings). What you gain: Recognition, additional responsibilities, and a fixed session-based fee paid monthly by the platform. • Professional Mentor Certified or degree-qualified professionals (e.g. therapists, counselors, coaches). You must submit valid documentation (e.g. diplomas, licenses, certificates) for review. What you gain: Flexibility, the ability to set your own hourly rate, and offer specialized services. We reserve the right to verify submitted qualifications and may request additional proof before confirming Professional Mentor status.

4. Mentor Responsibilities
As a Mentor, you agree to: • Provide support in good faith, based on your experience or training; • Respect each user’s dignity, privacy, and background; • Be on time for scheduled sessions or cancel in advance if unavailable; • Avoid offering medical, legal, or emergency crisis advice through our platform. You are responsible for: • The accuracy of your stated experience or qualifications; • Any advice, statements, or support you give; • Complying with all applicable laws in your country of residence. TalkingJet does not control or supervise your conversations or guarantee user behavior.

5. Payments for Mentors
Advanced Mentors: • Receive fee per session; • Payments are calculated and sent monthly to the payment details you provide; • Payments from users are processed through Stripe, and funds are transferred to your Stripe account on a regular schedule; • You are responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations in your country. Professional Mentors: • You set your own hourly session rate; • Payments are calculated and sent monthly to the payment details you provide; • Payments from users are processed through Stripe, and funds are transferred to your Stripe account on a regular schedule; • You are responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations in your country, professional conduct, and legal/tax compliance. TalkingJet does not withhold or pay any taxes on your behalf. You are considered an independent contractor, not an employee of the platform.

6. Calendar and Video Tools
The platform provides video calling and scheduling features. We do not guarantee that: • Tools will work without interruptions; • All meetings will be attended as planned; • Audio, video, or calendar tools will perform at all times. Technical disruptions may occur, and TalkingJet is not liable for missed appointments due to these issues. Please communicate directly with users to reschedule if necessary. Recording of video and audio of sessions is strictly forbidden.

7. Code of Conduct
Mentors agree to: • Treat all users with respect and without discrimination; • Not engage in hate speech, harassment, or inappropriate behavior; • Maintain confidentiality and never misuse user information. We reserve the right to suspend or remove mentors who violate this code or our platform’s ethical standards.

8. Safety Disclaimer – Do Not Request or Share Sensitive Information
As a Mentor on TalkingJet, you agree to maintain a safe and respectful environment. To protect both yourself and users, you must not request or share the following: • Personal identification details (e.g., ID numbers, passport info); • Bank account numbers, credit card details, or payment credentials; • Login credentials, passwords, or security codes; • Medical, legal, or financial records; • Copies of personal documents or certifications (except for TalkingJet verification purposes); • Private location details like home addresses or workplaces. TalkingJet is not a platform for document exchange or professional diagnostics. Your role is to listen, support, and offer guidance based on your experience or training — not to collect personal data or provide formal services involving confidential documentation. If a user shares or requests sensitive information, please avoid engaging and report the situation to the platform team.

9. Content and Profile Information
You may upload information about your background, services, and experience. You are responsible for: • Ensuring all content is accurate and lawful; • Updating information if your experience, fees, or status changes; • Only using images and materials that you have the right to use. TalkingJet reserves the right to edit, remove, or hide content that is misleading, harmful, or inappropriate.

10. Intellectual Property
Content you create for your profile remains yours, but you grant TalkingJet a license to display, promote, and use it within the platform. All content on TalkingJet – including text, design, logos, graphics, videos, articles and software – is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. This content belongs to TalkingJet or its content creators. You agree not to: • Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from our platform without written permission; • Use our branding, logos, or materials for commercial purposes without consent; • Claim any ownership over content you did not create. If you upload your own content to your profile (like images, text, or descriptions), you confirm that you have the right to use and share it. You give us permission to display it on the platform as needed.

11. Limitation of Liability
We provide TalkingJet "as is" – without warranties of any kind. That means we: • Do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or security of the platform at all times; • Are not responsible for any advice, services, or content provided by mentors or users; • Are not liable for any damages, losses, or issues that may happen from using the platform, including emotional, psychological, or financial outcomes; • Any legal or financial disputes between mentors and users. Your use of the platform is at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to make independent decisions and seek licensed professionals when needed.

12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold TalkingJet harmless from any claims, damages, or legal issues resulting from: • Your mentoring activity; • Misrepresentation of your qualifications; • Violation of laws or platform rules; • Disputes between you and users.

13. Personal Data & Privacy
We handle your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant US privacy laws. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

14. Cookies and Tracking
TalkingJet uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience, analyze how the platform is used, and personalize content. Cookies help us: • Keep you logged in; • Understand platform performance; • Show you relevant features and content. By using TalkingJet, you agree to our use of cookies. 15. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are important, we’ll let you know. Continuing to use the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. You are responsible for complying with any professional, tax, or business regulations in your own country.
