The SPKC ensures the function of a national specialised centre for participation in the European Information Network on Drugs and Drug Addiction (Reitox) maintained by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1920/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 on the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/2101 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 November 2017 amending Regulation (EC) No. 1920/2006 as regards information exchange, an early warning system and risk assessment in relation to new psychoactive substances.
